PROJECT MANAGER

Job TitlePlans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Ensures the plans and performance of the various functions within the organization meet or exceed management expectations. Provides leadership to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:Works within established organizational objectives.Accomplishes results through subordinate supervisors or through experienced exempt and nonexempt staff.Performs typical responsibilities of management requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and coaching.Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting cost, schedule and quality objectives.Leads or participates in proposal preparation, business plans proposal work statements and development of technical and administrative specifications and operating budgets.Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product development, integration and test.Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contract specifications.Assists in providing technical and manufacturing support to the production floor.Assists Manufacturing Processes (M/P) in creating and writing process specifications.Assists in creating production schedules and man-power requirementsProvides customer field support, including technical and manufacturing support, supply-manufacturing support of the implementation of Service Bulletin, Modifications, Warranty Issues and Repairs.Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.Education Requirements:Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Technical discipline.If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.Experience Requirements:10 year(s) Related experience and/or training.Supervisory/Management Experience year(s)The supervisory/management experience requirement is included in, not additional to, the overall experience requirements. year(s)Skills and Competencies:Communicates effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms.Makes telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and makes formal presentations to small or large groups.Operates standard office equipment and demonstrates competence in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required.Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.Demand - Frequency Walk - Frequent Use hands to handle or feel or manipulate - Frequent Reach with hands and arms - Frequent Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl - Occasional Talk and hear - Frequent Use close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust - Constant Travel between facilities (drive) - Occasional Stand - Occasional Climb stairs - Occasional Weight - Frequency 25 pounds - OccasionalWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Supervision:Generally is an independent contributor, but may directly supervise a small staff of one (1) to three (3) professionals and clerical support staff.
