Automotive Service Technician

Service TechnicianWe are looking for a Certified Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE. Through our partnership with the Tennessee Center of Technology, we hire students and donate vehicles and equipment to support their education.Saturday Lunches: Every Saturday, we treat our employees working that day to a catered lunch as a small thank you for their hard work.Responsibilities:Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsQualifications:2+ years of Service Technician experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification requiredPrevious experience at a dealership is preferredB level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine RepairDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentExcellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improveEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentTeammate with ability to collaborate with others effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsValid driver's license and clean driving recordWe are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
