Software Engineer (Functional), Supply Chain Integration Austin, Texas, United States Software and Services As a Supply Chain Functional Analyst, you will be part of the team that builds industry‑leading business applications for Apple, the world’s leader in supply chain. Description We are seeking a self‑starter and highly motivated individual who thrives on challenges and finding creative solutions. You will collaborate with multi‑functional teams globally (US, Singapore, India, and Europe) to deliver cutting‑edge products in a dynamic environment. As a part of the IS&T SCI team, you will play a pivotal role in building end‑to‑end, best‑in‑class software solutions for Apple’s supply chain needs ranging from Procurement, Product Costing, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, to Product Distribution. Responsibilities Interface with business teams, product owners, developers, QA, support teams, and end users. Lead proof‑of‑concepts and pilot implementations to demonstrate new ideas or illustrate new processes and how to apply them to our systems. Strive for top‑quality results and continually look for ways to improve and enhance system reliability, performance, and security. Perform regular design and functional specification reviews. Demonstrate a solid understanding of information management, data modeling, system integration, development methodologies (including unit testing), and web technologies. Write detailed user stories, based on business requirements, and collaborate with engineers and QA to ensure end‑to‑end delivery of functionality. Occasionally handle application production warranty. Work efficiently in a highly leveraged outsourcing model, collaborating with contractors to ensure successful project execution. Deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment. Manage and collaborate with consultants from vendor companies. Multi‑task, work independently with minimal supervision. Communicate clearly and advocate effectively for technical decisions with stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications 6+ years of relevant experience building supply chain ERP solutions, as a functional analyst in demand, manufacturing, or supply planning domains, and relevant tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in presentation skills using Keynote or PowerPoint. Comfortable working in a multi‑discipline, geographically dispersed team. Team lead experience is a must. B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a relevant degree. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies. Experience building business applications for product distribution / demand fulfillment processes. Ability to build KPIs, dashboards, and new process roadmaps for supply chain processes. Experience writing advanced Microsoft Excel solutions, optimization techniques, statistical modeling, and linear programming solvers (e.g., Gurobi, R, iLog). Experience with SQL, developing data visualization / analytics toolsets. Experience in several full system implementation life‑cycles, leading a team of engineers and QA. MBA in Supply Chain or a related field and/or certifications in product management, operations, supply chain, APICS, etc. are a plus.
