Security Officer I

Job Summary Work Schedule: Per Diem Position with Varied hours. Weekend and holiday rotation as needed. Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides wayfinding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities. #POTTS

Qualifications Education Requirements
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Relevant experience
- BLS Certification
- IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
- Current Valid Driver's License
- Accountable for maintaining workplace safety
- Computer Skills to include use and navigation
- Customer Service Skills
- Detail Oriented
- Excellent Communications Skills
