About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RDMS and RVT registries Certifications: BLS, ARDMS (abd or OB), preferred Vascular RVT registry Must-Have: OB experience Ability to scan general ultrasound with vascular Description: This position requires a qualified ultrasound technologist. Candidates must have experience in OB ultrasound. Proficiency in scanning general ultrasound as well as vascular studies is essential. The facility is a critical access facility with 30 beds and two ultrasound rooms. There are three full-time technologists, including one new graduate and two part-time seasoned technologists. The unit operates with scheduled shifts to cover day and weekend hours. Patient ratios are designed for efficient exam processing, with each exam allocated 30 minutes to one hour. Equipment used includes GE Logic E10, Trophons, Parks Flolab, Cerner EMR, and Philips Intellispace PACS. Typical procedures performed include abdomen, pelvis, vascular (carotid/venous), ABI, OB/GYN ultrasounds, small parts, and breast imaging. The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to perform exams within 30 to 45 minutes. The technologist will be responsible for writing reports and must adhere to protocols set by radiologists. A commitment to confidentiality and compliance with all guidelines is expected. The position requires one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month, totaling approximately 6 to 8 days of call each month.
