Position Overview 

Ascend Associates is hiring up to three Executive Recruiters to support continued growth. We are actively hiring and prepared to move quickly for the right individuals. 

This is a high talk, relationship driven headhunting role. Our recruiters do not rely on internet sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, or job boards to find candidates. Instead, success in this role comes from meaningful phone conversations, industry networking, and consistent outreach. 

You will spend your day speaking directly with professionals in the electrical and industrial distribution space, sharing opportunities, evaluating fit, and providing professional coaching and negotiating guidance. This traditional phone-based approach is the foundation of our business, and the reason 100 percent of our clients are repeat partners. 

If you genuinely enjoy talking to people, building rapport quickly, and influencing outcomes through conversation, this role will be a strong fit. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Identify, attract, and screen qualified candidates while accurately assessing fit for client openings
• Source and deliver qualified candidates within 5 to 7 business days
• This is a high-volume, outbound, cold calling position
• Build strong, professional relationships with candidates and clients through consistent communication
• Present and market top candidates to client partners
• Generate new client relationships through candidate marketing and business development efforts

• Learn, retain, and confidently apply industry-specific knowledge related to electrical and industrial distribution
• Coordinate interviews, candidate preparation, client debriefs, and follow-ups

What This Role Offers 

• Base salary of $60,000 plus uncapped commission
• Expected first-year commission of $20,000 to $30,000 based on gross profit

• Schedule of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays

Required Skills and Attributes 

• Comfort being on the phone for a significant portion of the workday
• Proven demonstrated ability to succeed in a cold calling, phone-driven role
• Strong interest in positively impacting people’s careers
• Sales aptitude, including emotional intelligence, active listening, and persuasive communication
• Ability to think quickly and communicate clearly while recalling key information
• High level of self-motivation and internal drive
• Positive, resilient mindset suited for a performance-based compensation structure
• Confident, professional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in high-volume outbound calling or sales environments
• Sales, recruiting, business development, or customer-facing experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher

Location and Work Structure 

Ascend Associates is located at 727 E Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85014. New hires are expected to work in the office for the first six months. After that period, high performers may be eligible for a hybrid schedule with up to 100 percent remote work.
