Supervised Independent Living (SIL) Advocate (Rathgeber Village Campus) A full‑time exempt position with an annual salary of $48,000 to $52,700 (plus a $3,600 language differential for English/Spanish), based at the Rathgeber Village Campus. SAFE Alliance seeks a SIL Advocate for the Community Engagement Services program in the Supervised Independent Living department. The role assists clients in accessing services, assessing needs, documenting activities, and acting as a liaison for referrals, all from a strength‑based, client‑centered perspective. The position prioritizes relationship repair, presence, felt safety, and belonging. Responsibilities Assist clients in accessing services, assessing needs, and documenting activities. Act as a liaison ensuring appropriate referrals while maintaining a client‑focused approach. Provide crisis intervention, resource coordination, case work, and group activities. Respond to emergency situations on‑call and provide in person support within 60 minutes. Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and advocacy records. Participate in weekly on‑call rotations, including evening and weekend availability. Qualifications Provide consistent, in‑person direct service to young adults aged 18‑22 in extended foster care. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong ethical boundaries. Knowledge of trauma‑informed care and advocacy best practices. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with young adults using a strengths‑based approach. Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, etc., highly preferred. Deliver program functions – crisis intervention, resource coordination, case work, group activities, and advocacy – through relational connection. Strong crisis intervention, de‑escalation, problem‑solving, and advocacy skills. Experience in social services, case management, legal advocacy, or crisis response preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations. Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish preferred. Physical ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Completion of the 40‑Hour Office of Attorney General Sexual Assault Advocacy Training within 6 months of start and ongoing annual continuing education. Valid Texas driver’s license; 3 consecutive years of driving experience (or 1 year if over 27), and an acceptable driving record for the last 3 years. Pass all required criminal background checks, drug screen, and TB test. Compliance with COVID‑19 policies; vaccination recommended.
