Overview and Responsibilities Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Call Center to join our team. In this role you provide telephonic support on respiratory equipment and supplies, educate field staff, referrals, patients, and caregivers, and perform all tasks related to CPAP compliance. Pay range: $26 – $35 depending on experience and license. Monday – Friday; 8 am – 5 pm with a 4‑6 week on‑call rotation Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.) Available for on‑call assignments as needed; flexibility to cover 24/7 call center operation, with rotation every 4‑6 weeks. Handle phone consultations during non‑business hours (e.g., AHCC locations). Counsel and re‑educate non‑compliant patients per physicians’ instructions. Gather information from patients, caregivers, and field personnel regarding equipment problems; troubleshoot based on provided data. Initiate patient enrollment into the CPAP Compliance Program. Understand basic insurance guidelines. Maintain continuing education as required for job performance and state licensure. Keep up‑to‑date licensure and other requirements per state law in the state(s) of practice. Determine need for a physical visit when other measures have failed; contact location via email or dispatch personnel for physical visit. Monitor patient’s progress according to insurance guidelines and/or Rotech time‑frames. Secure all company and patient information. Provide clinical support to locations and field personnel on troubleshooting and clinical questions. Deliver patient education on equipment use, maintenance, safety, physician’s prescription, compliance benefits, and potential adverse reactions. Review appropriate manufacturing system for compliance tracking. Perform other duties as assigned. Employment Is Contingent On Background check (company‑wide). Drug screen (when applicable). Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable). Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable). Required Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent, required. Credentials as a Registered Nurse (RN). Licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the location. Preferred Education and/or Experience Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care/therapy or related science preferred; nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending on state licensure laws. Maintain CEUs as required by state law; if not required, maintain a minimum of 4 CEUs per year. May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area. Experience with home respiratory care preferred. One year of related work experience preferred. Skills and Competencies Effectively communicate in English; oral and written. Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non‑verbal, written). Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information. Make appropriate recommendations for changes to patient care as dictated by patient assessment. Multi‑task with attention to detail. Review patient charts and discern compliance with Rotech’s policies and procedures. Self‑motivation, organized, time‑management and deductive problem‑solving skills. Troubleshoot clinical issues and resolve equipment issues over the phone. Work independently and as part of a team. Machines, Equipment, and Technical Abilities Email transmission and communication. Internet navigation and research. Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel. Office equipment: fax machine, copier, printer, phone, computer, and/or tablet. Understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies. Physical Demands Lift and carry office equipment at times. Require walking and standing 5%; sitting 95%; talking and listening majority of the shift. Require close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork.
