Product Manager I

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; schedule may adjust based on business needs, vendor meetings, and project requirements) About the Role Our client is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Assistant Product Manager to support the Mobile Accessories Product Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with experience in retail merchandising, buying, product coordination, or category management who is passionate about consumer products and technology. In this role, you'll help bring new mobile accessory products to market by supporting product launches, coordinating with vendors, maintaining product information, and providing insights into market trends and competitive activity. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities. Responsibilities Support the Mobile Accessories Product Team in executing product strategies and initiatives Maintain and organize product assets for new item setup and product launches Coordinate product onboarding and setup within internal systems Update, analyze, and distribute weekly sales performance reports Manage product samples and inventory for internal stakeholders Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends Research emerging products, technologies, and consumer preferences Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches Assist in streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency Required Qualifications Experience working in a retail buying, merchandising, product management, category management, or related environment Background with a mass retailer, specialty retailer, or consumer products company (e.g., Best Buy, Target, wireless/mobile accessory retailers, or similar) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience analyzing market data and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to provide actionable insights Passion for consumer technology, mobile accessories, and emerging tech products What We're Looking For A curious, driven professional who enjoys learning about consumer products and market trends A highly organized individual who can balance competing priorities and meet deadlinesSomeone who enjoys working with data, products, vendors, and cross-functional teams A team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Enthusiasm for technology and bringing innovative products to market Location Requirement Candidates must be able to work onsite in Basking Ridge, NJ three days per week.
