  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – AMER REG OF RAD TECH and Texas Medical Board (TMB) Medical Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), completed by first day of employment
Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM Job Duties Review physician orders for accuracy, diagnosis, and applicability; consult with radiologists for protocol modifications and document changes in the electronic health record. Interview patients, obtain medical history, explain procedures, screen for contrast contraindications, observe for adverse reactions, and activate emergency codes as needed. Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and ensure proper documentation and labeling of images in the electronic health record. Complete exam charges and documentation promptly; enforce radiation safety and ALARA principles; assist patients with dressing, positioning, and transportation. Perform QC testing and report diagnostic system and workstation issues to service engineers and imaging leadership. Maintain quality control and radiation safety compliance, including daily, monthly, and annual QC; ensure secure handling of workstations and patient data. Respond to inquiries via calls, emails, and other communication channels in a timely and professional manner; participate in code and rapid responses. Communicate shift hand‑off, workflow issues, and scheduling priorities with incoming staff; support equitable distribution of departmental workloads. Provide orientation and training for new hires and students; ensure procedures meet departmental standards; collaborate across service lines to deliver patient care. Prioritize exams, schedule efficiently, and manage stat requests to minimize wait times. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, competencies, regulatory compliance, infection control, and fiscal responsibilities related to equipment, supplies, and scheduling. Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and secure all workstations and work areas. Perform other assigned duties as needed.
