The medical Receptionist is vital position supporting the clinical team. The individual will work under the direct supervision of a physican with the main focus of administrative duties.Must adhere to all legal and ethical standard that the govern the practice including all HIPAA guidelines.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Streamline all appointments, including completing the check in and check out process as well as ensuring the confirmation process is completed
- Optimize appointments to increase efficiency of work flow throughout the practice
- Collecting and posting payments
- Greet and direct patients and families
- Ensure waiting room is organized and clean'
- Keep the line of communication open with the clinical staff as it relates to appointments ,as wella other concerns
- Serve as the main point of contact between patient and medical staff
- Verify and upload insurances for all patients'
- Ensure all authorizations are current prior to appointment
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service
- Be able to work well in a fast paced environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
