The Service and Repair HVAC Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients. This role involves working independently or within a small service team to provide expert installation, timely repairs, system upgrades, and routine maintenance without the need for travel. The technician ensures efficient operation and customer satisfaction through precise diagnostics and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and system testing to ensure optimal performance
- Replace faulty parts and components as needed
- Respond promptly to emergency repair calls
- Maintain accurate service documentation and records
- Promote energy-efficient system operation
- Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair
- Technical Certificate in HVAC or related field
- EPA Certification
- Experience with HVAC system installation and electrical systems
- Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and diagnostic tools
- Strong understanding of safety procedures
- Excellent customer communication and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management abilities
