Sales & Marketing Manager

Reports To : Director of Merchandising and Sales Employment Type : Full-Time, Exempt Location : Bentonville, AR (On-site) Department : Sales & Marketing - Gelmart Division About the Role We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager to be the Bentonville-based commercial and marketing lead for our Walmart intimate apparel business. This fully on-site role in Bentonville is a hybrid sales-assistant and marketing-ownership seat: partnering closely with the Director of Merchandising and Sales, the Walmart Merchant team, and internal Design, Product Development, and CPFR partners to bring assortments, line reviews, seasonal launches, and in-store and digital marketing programs to life — while owning day-to-day marketing execution across Walmart, Motherhood, Kindly, NOBO, Joyspun, and Gelmart’s private and own brands. This role owns marketing requests, sample coordination, packaging and imagery, item setup and PDP content, product-review programs, sustainability certifications, and packaging/trims/costing conversations with Walmart — and represents the brand voice in-market. The right candidate is equally comfortable in a Walmart merchant meeting, a Retail Link deep-dive, a photo studio, a packaging cost review, and a marketing brief. A strong storyteller who lets the numbers lead, with real ownership of the brand on the shelf and on the site. Key Responsibilities Sales Execution & Account Support Support preparation for customer meetings, joint business plans, monthly business reviews, and modular resets. Own the day-to-day flow of merchant requests: sample coordination, pricing responses, item setup follow-through, and post-meeting recap and action tracking. Marketing Requests & Sample Management Own intake, prioritization, and delivery of all marketing needs and requests across Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Walmart Canada. Manage marketing sample requests end-to-end — internal photoshoots, brand requests, YBM/Holiday needs, and account meetings — including sourcing, tracking, shipping, and warehouse coordination. Own the marketing calendar of photoshoots, YBM, and Holiday milestones; make priority calls when Walmart, Motherhood, and own-brand needs conflict. Coordinate packaging prototype printing and route files and inputs to vendors and printers. Packaging & Imagery for Packaging and E-Commerce Procure samples, organize and attend shoots, and provide retouch notes for NOBO, Joyspun, Kindly, and other brands. Own model casting: pre-screen portfolios against fit, size, age, and look criteria; assemble casting decks and submit curated options for final approval. Share packaging imagery with package suppliers (RPAC); confirm receipt and correct file formats. Coordinate e-commerce image needs; prepare and ship imagery to Walmart’s studio. Manage all portal work: cropping, renaming, and uploading imagery through SupplierOne, Workhorse, and other Walmart and vendor portals. Lead PDP enhancement assets; own final look-and-feel decisions in partnership with sales, Design and brand leadership. Own EcoRecords submissions for Bazaarvoice/Walmart: prepare inputs, chase factories and Zora for missing data, and complete submissions on time. Enable Walmart recycled-globe artwork and other sustainability call-outs; own the operational readiness (certifications, transaction certificates, packaging approvals) that makes them possible. Manage the Gelmart BCI account and unit reconciliations; support RSC/BV and other certification audits. Maintain marketing color-name conventions in Simparel and generate UPC reports for the packaging team. Item Setup & Style Adoption Complete style adoption forms — titles, PDP descriptions, and Walmart attributes — for all Gelmart brands and seasons. Set up and format modular images for planning; generate UPC-specific images and maintain naming and file conventions. Support the Digital team's content-quality goals: implement requested text and image changes, track versions, and confirm live on-site. Approve copy and attribute treatment for sensitive claims (fit, sustainability, nursing functionality) in partnership with brand and product leadership. Product Reviews (Bazaarvoice) & Ratings Health Coordinate sample requests at PO timing to hit Bazaarvoice review windows and Walmart review-count expectations. Set up items in the Bazaar portal, launch campaigns by brand/season, and update portal status when product ships. Track campaign reviews, ratings, and sentiment; highlight review issues affecting star ratings and flag high-risk comments (fit, defects, safety, packaging) for internal escalation. Recommend when review patterns should trigger product, packaging, or retailer-messaging changes. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of combined sales, account management, retail stores, and/or marketing experience supporting a mass retailer, with Walmart experience required. Multiple years of experience in apparel preferred (intimate apparel, basics, or seasonal apparel a strong plus). Proven self-starter who takes initiative without prompting and drives issues to resolution. Exceptional communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills. Willing and able to work on-site in Bentonville, AR full-time.
