Compensation Range Hourly: $20.55 - $25.05 (based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies) About This Job Our Personal Bankers are personable, goal‑oriented, and passionate about improving customers’ financial health. As a Personal Banker at the Wentzville location, you will build relationships with customers and colleagues, uncover financial needs, and offer tailored solutions. Commerce values recognition and rewards employees for their talent and contributions. Role Responsibilities Receive the tools, resources, and training needed to succeed and grow within Commerce Bank. Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone. Actively listen and recommend products that align with customer needs. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions that improve financial wellness. Execute financial transactions accurately while complying with all policies and regulations. Establish relationships with internal departments and refer complex needs to specialists. Earn additional compensation beyond base pay through our quarterly incentive program. Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM Saturday, 8:45 AM – 12:15 PM Essential Functions Interact with customers in person and over the phone to meet financial needs through conversations and sales fulfillment. Listen, understand, and recommend products and services based on customer needs to achieve sales and service goals. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions to enhance the experience and drive sales. Ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing while complying with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone. Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations. Motivated, organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and multi‑tasking ability. Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with our culture and core values. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (education and experience combined). 1+ years of sales or customer service experience. Experience in a setting with individual and team sales goals preferred. Position Information Position may be filled as either Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education. Compliance & Disclosure Federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report, which will disclose credit history. Applicants who are considered will be asked to authorize this report. For individuals applying to areas with pay‑transparency requirements, the disclosed compensation range for the Personal Banker I and II roles is $20.55 to $25.05 per hour. This range is not adjusted for geographic, bilingual, shift, or other differentials, and may be revised based on the facts and circumstances of each situation. Additional compensation through performance‑based incentive plans may be earned by meeting objectives.
