Exciting Opportunity for Operating Room Nurse in Idaho Falls!

Job Description:
- Start Date: ASAP (must be able to start on or after 10/26)
- Shift: 06:30-16:30
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36

Unit Information:
- Location: Idaho Falls, ID
- Number of ORs: 13
- Staffing: 25 RNs / 29 CSTs

Typical Unit Operations:
- Monday - Friday:
- 06:30-15:00: 13 RNs / 13 CSTs to run up to 10 rooms
- 15:00-17:00: 8 RNs / 8 CSTs to run up to 7 rooms
- 17:00-19:00: 6 RNs / 5 CSTs to run up to 4 rooms
- 19:00-23:00: 3 RNs / 2 CSTs to run up to 2 rooms
- 23:00-07:00: 1 RN / 1 CST to cover trauma
- Weekends:
- 07:00-07:00: 1 RN / 1 CST to cover trauma
- Saturday has additional call team for two rooms from 06:30-15:00
- Trauma team (1 RN / 1 CST) available during off hours

Patient Ratios:
- Average 50 hours of surgical time (patient in room)
- Heavier surgical load on Saturdays compared to Sundays

Required Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: 3+ years of operating room experience
- Must Have: Trauma experience, shift and call flexibility
- Preferred Skills:
- CNOR certification
- Burn experience
- Robotic experience
- Neuro experience

Typical Procedures Performed:
- Burn: wound debridement, skin grafting, dressing change
- Dental: restoration and oral maxillofacial
- ENT: T&A, parathyroidectomy, cochlear implants
- Gastroenterology: EGD, colonoscopy
- General: all types of procedures
- Gynecology: ablations, vaginal/abdominal hysterectomies
- Neuro: spinal fusions, craniotomy
- Open Heart: CABG, fem-pop, fistulas
- Ophthalmology: vitrectomy, cataracts
- Orthopedics: trauma, total joints
- Plastics: breast augmentation/reconstruction
- Psychiatry: electroconvulsive therapy
- Robotics: gyn, general, urology
- Trauma: various surgical interventions
- Urology: cystoscopy, TURB, TURP, stents

Dress Code:

Call & Weekend Details:
- Rotate weekend call every four weeks
- Call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours
- Every attempt is made to limit total hours (work + call) to 60 per week
