Regional Philanthropy Senior Officer

Job Description Due to an internal promotion, the American Red Cross seeks a Regional Philanthropy Senior Officer for the Los Angeles Region to meet fundraising goals and engage corporate donors. This hybrid role requires on‑site meetings with donors, working in the downtown Los Angeles office once a week, and remote work otherwise. Responsibilities Develop and execute ongoing regional strategy for qualifying donors to ensure retention, growth of donor contributions, and recapture from previous donors. Manage assigned portfolio of donors and prospects and develop deep relationships, meeting the minimum annual fundraising goal tied to corporate or blended portfolio as specified in performance standards. Implement a program to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the $5,000 level or higher, maximizing revenue for the American Red Cross. Develop ongoing relationships, cultivate, solicit, and steward support of major donors from corporations to meet annual fundraising goals within the region. Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as appropriate and oversee staff development when required. Recruit, develop, and work with field staff and volunteers. Drive vehicle to other locations and provide own transportation for business purposes. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree highly desirable. Experience: Minimum seven years of sales and/or fundraising experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Skills & Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies; knowledge of MS Office and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce.com); current valid driver's license and good driving record. Travel: Frequent travel within the region required. * Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to the description's minimum education and general experience years combined. Compensation The salary range for this position is $100,000–$109,000. You will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan based on annual individual and organization performance. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
