We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to join our team and help deliver an exceptional experience to our guests.

Job Description: The Service Manager at Yamashiro Hollywood is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front-of-house and ensuring that each guest receives top-tier service. This role is critical in maintaining smooth service, managing a team, and supporting the overall guest experience. You will lead and train front-of-house staff, manage reservations, and oversee the restaurant's atmosphere to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the host/hostess, servers, bartenders, and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  2. Customer Service Excellence: Coach and train staff to uphold the highest standards of service, ensuring guests have a memorable experience.
  3. Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Operational Efficiency: Monitor dining room activity, including table turnover and wait times, ensuring the dining room operates smoothly and efficiently.
  5. Collaborative Support: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure food orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner, addressing any issues that arise.
  6. Reservation Management: Oversee the reservation system and seating arrangements to optimize capacity, minimize wait times, and ensure compliance with restaurant policies.
  7. Cleanliness & Organization: Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and properly set up for guest service.
  8. Inventory & Supply Management: Keep track of front-of-house supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure we are well-stocked.
  9. Compliance & Safety: Enforce safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations to maintain a compliant and safe environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry.
  2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  4. Ability to remain composed and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  6. In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, both front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
  7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  8. Basic computer skills for managing reservations, scheduling, and other operational needs.
