Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Specialist to join our supply chain and operations office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of chemicals and finished product. They will also have knowledge of Hazmat DOT chemical transporting regulations in order to operate the scale house. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, customer service skills, knowledge of supply chain, scale clerk responsibilities, and experience with warehouse ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inventory Management Responsibilities

·        Maintain accurate inventory records

·        Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation

·        Keep track of receiving inventory. Ensure team receives, inspects, labels, and stores chemicals correctly.

·        Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to according department

·        Conduct root cause analysis to identify discrepancies or supply chain bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions for process improvement

·        Run reports for open purchase orders, open batches, and inventory reconciliation

·        Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, and batch traceability

·        Assist in audits, compliance reporting, and documentation related to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety standards.

·        Help keep warehouse clean and organized

·        Collaborate with different departments: operations, HSEQ, procurement, logistics, supply chain, customer service, and sales.

Scale Clerk Responsibilities

·        Operates the weight station scale 

·        Greets and assists drivers in a friendly manner providing quality customer service 

·        Provides proper information (both written and verbal) to the drivers regarding their load

·        Scans and emails orders to the main office 

·        Prints daily work schedules

·        Compiles documents for outbound / inbound shipments

·        Verifies work orders against the schedule, that they are complete and correct

·        Commutates inconsistences with appropriate departments
Ensures inbounds/outbound problems, damages, or anomalies are caught, corrected, and reported
Confirm all documentation leaving the premise is accurate and complies with DOT regulation

·        Manage the drop trailers by documenting daily.

·        Creates and confirms labels are DOT regulated, based on SDS

Qualifications:

·        3+ years of inventory, warehouse, or chemical industry experience

·        Experience using ERP systems, such as Chempax or Netsuite, or similar systems.

·        Knowledge of inventory control procedures and cycle counting methods.

·        Familiar with chemical handling procedures, SDS documentation, and hazardous materials regulations is a plus.

·        Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Excel

·        Knowledge of Hazmat DOT chemical transportation regulations

·        Highly organized

Schedule

Monday – Friday

Regular Schedule: 9:00 AM – Last Truck (typically around 5:30 PM)

Daily Responsibilities:

·        9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Inventory and office support duties

·        2:00 PM – End of Day: Scale Clerk responsibilities

·        Flexibility is required to begin work as early as 6:30 AM when providing backup coverage for the morning Scale Clerk.

Pre-Employment Requirements

·        Successfully pass a background check.

·        Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
