Survey Manager (PLS)

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Manager (PLS) to join our Survey team in our Wilmington office. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. What You Will Be Doing: Responsible for estimating, managing, planning, scheduling, and performing multiple survey projects and personnel. Apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluating, and completing survey projects. Review and approve field measurements and assist with preparation of survey documents. Conduct and direct field surveys as required for scheduling or supervisory and quality control purposes. Oversee projects that consist of 50% boundary surveying for private clients and 50% survey support for internal municipal engineering projects. Perform boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, right‑of‑way plats, CIC plats, easement preparation, topographic surveys, construction staking, and manage private survey clients. Leverage state‑of‑the‑art robotic and GPS equipment in field crews. What We Are Looking For: North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor license or ability to attain within 6 months. Minimum of 5 years of survey experience. Strong management and leadership skills, including operating with urgency, managing conflict, exercising tact and patience, and providing constructive feedback. Proficiency with CAD and survey software, such as AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation. Valid driver’s license and insurability at the firm’s standard rates; a motor vehicle record check is required.
