Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant collaborates with and assists patients, physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses in executing CHP's mission and vision. The ideal candidate has a pleasant personality and is willing to travel to various CHP practices in Berkshire County. Some weekends may be required. The role supports a caring, collaborative, and innovative work environment and adheres to CHP’s policies and compliance protocols. Responsibilities Welcome and escort patients; prepare patients for visits; record vital signs; assist with exams and procedures; direct patients post-visit. Perform EKGs, prepare lab requests, handle specimens, and manage lab results and reports. Administer vaccines (if certified) and maintain professional certification/registration. Update service profiles, answer calls, perform clerical duties, and communicate with outside agencies. Respond to patient calls/messages, pre-register patients, ensure proper triage, and coordinate follow-up appointments. Review clinical protocols annually and maintain CPR certification. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CMA program. Massachusetts Certified Medical Assistant Certification required. Medical office and electronic medical records experience is a plus. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus. Competencies Professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and respect in interactions. Physical Requirements Clinical Support ADA compliance. Additional Details Full-Time, Non-Exempt position. Location: MA, Lee, CHP Lee Family Practice. Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.00/hour.
