Candidates should understand how these technologies work and be comfortable applying them to real-world software engineering problems.Required Skills & Experience7+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant full-stack development experience.Strong hands-on experience with React.Strong backend development experience with Node.js.Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed services.Experience building low-latency, high-throughput APIs.Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.Experience with messaging/event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, RabbitMQ, or similar.Experience designing scalable, distributed systems and microservices.Strong understanding of API performance, caching, concurrency, resiliency, and scalability.Professional experience working on e-commerce systems or platforms.Familiarity with e-commerce domains such as product catalog, inventory, pricing, shopping cart, checkout, orders, payments, customers, or fulfillment.Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, code quality, and CI/CD.Familiarity with spec-driven development or contract-first approaches to software development.Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools and workflows.Understanding of AI agents, tool calling, LLM integrations, and agent orchestration.Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how it can connect AI agents to tools and data.Nice to Have SkillsExperience with GraphQL.Experience with Kafka at scale.Experience with Kubernetes.Soft SkillsStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of projectsStrong communication skills.Process ownership
