Patient Care Assistant Home Health/ Full-Time Location:Oakridge, TN Pay:$16.00-18.00 Shift Options:Full Time -M-F (Weekend Shift options available) Full Job Description Position Overview Energy Employee Services, LLC: Helping eligible energy workers obtain the compassionate healthcare they deserve! We are seeking a compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. As a member of the home health team, you will be responsible for managing the home care of terminally ill or elderly patients. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication skills and a committed dedication to providing patients and families with accessible, comprehensive care. Responsibilities Follow the patient’s Plan of Care (POC) as instructed by the Case Manager. Assist patients with hygiene care (including restrooming, transfers, bath and showers) as ordered in the plan of care, to promote quality of life. Assist with meal preparation, and light housekeeping (as outlined) to ensure quality of life and best patient care. Report all changes of status directly to the Case Manager to ensure best patient care. Timely documentation of patient status and condition. Must be willing to collaborate with the patient’s care team to ensure best patient outcomes. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Must be willing to submit to a background check. Must be willing to obtain a TB Skin Test, if you have not had one in the last year. Must be willing to travel to patient’s home (This can be up to a 45 mile radius) Must have a valid driver license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
