Responsibilities Administers medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Facility Policy. Take the patient's vital signs (respiration, temperature, blood pressure, heart rate) and report changes in patients' or residents' conditions. Practice ethically and professionally within their scope; advocate for patients; provide person-centered care and services. Maintain clinical competence specific to their care area, including completing required education within the stated timeframe. Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. Document appropriately and thoroughly in EMR/Point Click Care. Keep other nursing personnel and the responsible RN informed regarding changes in condition and other pertinent observations. Participate in unit councils and staff meetings. Required Skills and Experience Graduate of a Nursing Program Current NYS LPN License CPR/BLS certification Preferred Skills and Experience Prior patient care and customer service experience Physical Requirements May require lifting (up to 50 lbs.), may require sitting or standing for long periods. Must be able to physically operate the equipment required for the job.
