Quick Facts Location: Auburn & Opelika, Alabama Start Date: As soon as possible Duration: Permanent Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (No evenings or weekends) Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Full-time License/Certs: Doctor of Optometry (OD), AL State Optometry License required Experience: All levels considered, new graduates welcomed Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: Competitive compensation, pay package discussed upon application Benefits: Matching 401(k) plan Dental and health insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Malpractice insurance Continuing Education opportunities Partnership potential for long-term career growth What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and manage visual conditions and eye diseases Provide professional guidance on eyewear and contact lens fittings Manage ocular conditions with medications and therapeutic procedures Educate patients on eye health and treatment options Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure excellent patient care Stay updated on industry advancements and apply new knowledge in practice What You Need Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program Valid Alabama State Optometry License Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach Ability to collaborate effectively within a team About the Practice Join a respected, state-of-the-art practice recognized as Auburn-Opelika’s Best Eye Doctor. The practice offers comprehensive primary and medical eye care services, including contact lens fittings, pre/post operative care, and eyewear consultation. Enjoy working at both a smaller, more intensive Level III NICU at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and the larger volume facility at Providence Portland Medical Center, both renowned hospitals in Portland, Oregon. You will work alongside neonatal specialists, have access to well-equipped facilities, and provide high-risk neonatal care in a collaborative environment.
