Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) provides technical nursing care to residents by utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN may also assume charge nurse responsibilities within the SNF. This role involves delivering appropriate nursing care, gathering and reporting data, carrying out medical orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in alignment with facility policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform nursing assessments and therapeutic procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
• Comfort and experience working with ventilators, tracheostomies, and PICC lines.
• Two or more years of direct patient care experience.

• May be required to perform charge nurse duties in the Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Work environment includes Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
• Must adhere to facility policies and procedures.

• Work schedule and shifts are determined by facility needs and nursing management.
• May include day, evening, or night shifts depending on assignment.
