The successful candidate will be an adaptable, reflective practitioner who works collaboratively within a supportive team and undertakes the role of form tutor, working with colleagues and parents to support pupils’ wellbeing and organisation. Alongside teaching, responsibilities include leading one weekly after‑school activity, participating in supervision duties, completing reports and attending parents’ evenings. The school offers a comprehensive induction, ongoing professional development, free lunch and parking, and notes that duties may vary to meet the needs of the school; this is a non‑residential post.About the department:The Science Department is centrally located near Main House in a dedicated suite of laboratories. It comprises nine specialist science teachers, supported by three technicians, who work collaboratively to deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE, Level 2 BTEC and A Levels. Small class sizes of up to fifteen enable strong relationships, high‑quality teaching and active participation in the school’s wide extra‑curricular programme.
