Mother-Baby Unit Registered Nurse

Position requires experience in a larger sized facility and level 1 trauma setting. The nurse will care for antepartum and postpartum patients. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing education to new parents. The nurse will monitor fetal heart tones and perform non-stress tests for antepartum patients once per shift. The typical patient ratio is 3-4 couplets. The facility is a level I trauma teaching hospital with a daily census of around 40 patients. The nursing team collaborates with interdisciplinary support services, including respiratory and social services. Self-scheduling is utilized; block scheduling is not guaranteed. Weekends require 3-4 shifts every 4-week schedule. Travelers without prior experience may be considered. No local candidates are accepted within a 100-mile radius. RTO restrictions apply, with a maximum of 7 days preferred. Travelers must complete a drug screen within a specified timeframe. All licenses and certifications must be current upon submission.
