Job Summary (Essential Functions)Assists the Director of Golf and Golf Operations Team in all aspects of daily golf operations including member services, tournament administration, merchandising, instruction, club fitting, outside operations, and special events while delivering exceptional service to members and guests.Job Tasks/DutiesAssist with daily Golf Shop operationsCoordinate and administer tournaments and club eventsPrepare tournament materials, pairings, scorecards and cart assignmentsOperate and manage Golf Genius tournament softwareAssist with merchandising and retail operationsProvide exceptional service to members and guestsAssist with club fitting programs and equipment demonstrationsProvide individual and group golf instructionParticipate in junior golf programming and leadership activitiesAssist with practice facility operations and maintenanceAssist with golf cart fleet management and stagingPlay golf with members and participate in club eventsSupport outside golf operations when neededMaintain a clean, organized and professional Golf Shop environmentAttend golf staff meetings and assist with special projectsPerform additional duties as assigned by the Director of GolfPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching and pullingContinuous repetitive motionsAbility to lift and move golf equipment and merchandiseAbility to work outdoors for extended periodsMust be able to perform duties in hot, cold, humid, rainy and other seasonal weather conditionsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced golf operations environmentLicenses and Special RequirementsPGA Associate or PGA Membership preferredValid driver's licenseAbility to work weekends, holidays and extended seasonal hoursStrong customer service and communication skillsJob Knowledge, Core Competencies and ExpectationsThorough knowledge of golf operations and private club proceduresFully knowledgeable of Golf Shop opening and closing proceduresFamiliarity with all tournament operations including:Golf Genius softwareScorecard preparationGolf cart stagingProximity contestsTournament billing and administrationAbility to assist with club fitting and instructional programsDemonstrates leadership and professionalismMaintains current knowledge of club activities and eventsMaintains personal playing proficiency and knowledge of the gamePromotes a safe and professional work environmentKnowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situationsBenefitsUse of Club FacilitiesEmployee Meals While on Duty401(k) Eligibility After One YearPGA Dues PaidEducation AllowanceLesson Income OpportunitiesClub Repair and Regripping OpportunitiesParticipation in Outings and EventsUniform AllowanceEquipment AllowanceHealth Benefits ContributionYear-End BonusHoliday Bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr
