Details 16-bed Intensive Care Unit/Coronary Care Unit setting Patient ratios of 2:1, at times 3:1 Unit staffed with monitor techs, with additional tech support depending on census Uses Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment Documentation via Meditech 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 36 scheduled hours weekly Floats in rotation with core staffing Performs central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Certification required Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required Strong critical thinking skills and self-motivation required US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted) One professional reference required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Team environment with a mix of day and night shift staff of varying experience levels Flexible scheduling options available Scrubs required in any color; no denim, capris, or camo patterns permitted Unit has been recognized with a DAISY Award for a Critical Care RN and has supported hospice patients through blanket-making initiatives Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-750468.
