Licensed Veterinary Technician (Overnight Shift) Columbia River Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Emergency Care team in Vancouver, WA. The LVT will provide patient care for medical and surgical patients during day and overnight shifts. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care across all areas of the hospital, including medical, surgical, anesthetic induction and monitoring. Assist the DVM in organizing patient flow, monitoring treatments, and act as the Charge Nurse when appropriate. Communicate effectively and kindly with owners, especially during high‑voltage or emergency situations. Perform advanced laboratory skills, phlebotomy, cystocentesis, urinary catheter placement, NG tube placement, fluid therapy, CPR, blood and plasma transfusion, and anesthesia monitoring. Document client communications, treatments, anesthetic monitoring, and controlled drug logs (Cubex). Educate and mentor other staff when possible. Sign‑On Bonus $3,000 sign‑on bonus (subject to repayment if employment ends before one‑year anniversary). Eligibility requires a full‑time schedule and a one‑year commitment. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Licensed Veterinary Technician in Washington or able to obtain license within 90 days. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs; able to stand, squat, kneel, walk for long periods. Basic computer skills. Adaptability to changing work environments and ability to remain objective under stress. Schedule Overnight shifts available: 6 PM‑6 AM Sunday‑Tuesday and 8 PM‑8 AM Thursday‑Saturday.
