Senior Accountant

Cool Willy's is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time, in-office position for an accounting professional who has a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and enjoys taking ownership of financial processes, solving problems, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree, hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, and the ability to work independently while partnering with operational leaders and the broader finance team.

What You'll Do

• Manage and perform full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with and take ownership of month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Review financial activity, identify discrepancies and variances, and research and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting periods and accounts.
• Assist with cash management, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and internal controls to support financial reporting and audit requirements.
• Partner with operational leaders and other departments to improve accounting processes and ensure accurate financial information.
• Assist with audits, tax preparation, and other accounting projects as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience required.
• Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar accounting position preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with accounting, finance, and operational teams.
• Must be able to work full-time, in-office at our Tucson location.
