With our new leadership team onboard, we are reshaping the landscape and invite you to join an exciting ground floor opportunity! Position Summary:The Plant Manager is responsible for the manufacturing and administrative aspects of managing and leading a plant. As the leader of the Facilities Operations, this individual is responsible for all staff operations to ensure the safety of employees and the efficient and safe handling of ingredients into the facility, processing activities within the facility, and shipments of all finished product from the facility.What You'll Do:Implement and support all aspects of company policy including food and worker safetyEnsure product quality meets requirements for the customer and product manufacturedWork in coordination with other functions to assure and enforce compliance with all Food Safety Guidelines, FDA and OSHA guidelines, as well as Federal and State laws governing the workplaceManage daily operations and plan the use of materials and human resourcesOversee all plant operation functions including, but not limited to, receiving, production planning, production process, storage of materials (on and off-site), maintenance, and logisticsDirect and coordinate activities of staff concerned with the production, purchase, distribution of products, food safety, and customer serviceEstablish administrative controls and metrics to evaluate and maintain performance objectivesDetermine areas needing cost reduction and program improvementMaintain accountability for Operating Expense ManagementAssist the Director of Operations in preparing annual expense and capital budgets for all operational and administrative activitiesChampion engagement among the team through mentoring, developing, and coaching team members, including designing and/or promoting established programs to achieve objectives in this areaIdentify, develop, implement, and maintain Operating Procedures that drive efficient utilization of company assetsOversee all infrastructure for the location as it relates to operations, such as offices, warehouses, rail sidings, and land lotsMonitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well maintainedDetermine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and assure appropriate training of new employeesOversee all other personnel processesOther duties customary of such a position and other responsibilities as assignedRequirements:
