Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A hospital pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a per diem role from July 7, 2026, through July 22, 2026. This urgent fill opportunity requires a pharmacist to provide reliable pharmacy staffing during regular hours, with potential weekend, after-hours, or on-call coverage. The pharmacy operates from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., staffed by one pharmacist and one technician, making your role essential in maintaining seamless medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently during scheduled hours.
  • Provide weekend, after-hours, and on-call pharmacy coverage as needed.
  • Utilize the Wellsky hospital pharmacy information system for order verification and documentation.
  • Operate the Pyxis automation system for medication dispensing and inventory management.
  • Perform intravenous admixture compounding, excluding chemotherapy preparations.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and care quality.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with valid credentials allowing practice in the state.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, particularly with Wellsky software and Pyxis automation.
  • Competence in IV compounding procedures (non-chemotherapy).
  • Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Schedule:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. pharmacy hours.
  • Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage may be required.
