Inventory Control SpecialistThe Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely inventory levels within the warehouse. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory procedures, data analysis, and vendor coordination. The role supports operational efficiency, cost control, and inventory accuracy.Duties/ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory records, including daily tracking, audits, and adjustments.Analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.Implement and utilize inventory control systems such as barcoding or RFID.Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to maintain stock accuracy and compliance.Conduct financial analysis to reduce waste and optimize inventory levels.Use software (e.g., Nielsen) to track sales data and adjust inventory as needed.Coordinate with internal departments to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, as needed to support inventory activities.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Required Skills/AbilitiesStrong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.Basic understanding of inventory control procedures and warehouse processes.Keyboarding and data entry proficiency.Organized and detail-oriented; able to work independently.Professional demeanor and ability to build vendor relationships.Basic math and analytical problem-solving skills.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Experience with computerized inventory systems required.Forklift operator certification preferred.Physical RequirementsFrequent walking and standing on concrete warehouse floors.Ability to work in cold storage environments.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and retrieve inventory from various warehouse levels.NIGHT SHIFT POSITION MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FROM 8:00 PM TO 6:00 AM
