Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location: Margate, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) is responsible for the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients. The RN will work alongside a surgical team, supporting a variety of procedures including joint replacements, orthopedics, and various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of surgical equipment.
• Serve as a scrub nurse and circulator for multiple service lines.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using Meditech.
• Participate in on-call shifts as required.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• A minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute OR setting.
• Experience with orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement procedures.
• PALS and CNOR certification preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
