TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of surgical unit experience License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - Peripheral line care/management - Surgical drains management - Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions - Wound care/wound vac management Description: Registered Nurses are needed in an inpatient surgery unit. RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could lead to cancellation. Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses must be familiar with Rapid Response Teams and blood product administration. Experience in central and peripheral line care/management is essential. Knowledge of surgical drains and wound management is required. Nurses should know isolation precautions. Candidates will care for patients with various surgical and trauma-related diagnoses. Duties include assisting with a range of inpatient surgical procedures and trauma cases. The unit utilizes specific equipment such as wound vacs and chest tubes. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Staff may be required to float to other units as necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Teamwork and adherence to behavioral expectations are essential. Candidates must complete EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
