Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Gastrointestinal case skills/experience: Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/renal case skills/experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. IV therapy/phlebotomy skills/experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Medication skills/experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA. Respiratory case skills/experience: CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Tracheostomy Management. Professional knowledge and skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes mostly medical patients, CHF, hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis, DKA, ARF, DM, amputations, neuro, GI bleed/GI diagnoses, sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, osteomyelitis/podiatry diagnoses, SOB, falls, AKI, and infections/ie:pancolitis. Unit details include foot and leg amputations, peritoneal and hemodialysis, and thoracentesis.

Shift & Scheduling: Will work every other weekend. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float as needed per department needs.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
