What You'll Do

• Room patients, take vitals, and document medical history and chief complaints in the EMR
• Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures
• Prepare charts ahead of visits, including verifying insurance and obtaining authorizations
• Request imaging, outside medical records, and prior visit notes from referring providers
• Complete and verify disability and other patient forms
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and suture/staple removal as directed
• Clean, stock, and sterilize exam rooms and instruments
• Handle patient calls, prescription refill requests, and follow-up communication
• Coordinate with front desk staff and surgery coordinators to keep clinic flow on schedule

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required (surgical or specialty practice strongly preferred)
• Medical Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited program
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Proficiency with EMR systems ([system name] a plus)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and sterile technique
• Ability to work independently and support multiple providers in a fast-paced clinic
• Willing to travel to our Glendora office as needed
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
