Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in obstetrics and a passion for supporting mothers and newborns. This is a night shift position with a focus on high-risk antepartum, labor & delivery, and mother/baby care.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN (Advanced or Intermediate), CA Nursing License (in hand)
Charge experience preferred

Skills Required

Experience in Antepartum and Labor & Delivery
Ability to manage patient care in a Level I Nursery or Mother/Baby unit
Familiarity with hospital charting systems, specifically Paragon (training provided)
Experience with high-risk antepartum cases and facility births ranging from 100-300 per month

Unit Details

Interdisciplinary support available
Daily census and patient visits per day will vary
Patient age groups include mothers and newborns

Additional Information

Completion of Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card courses is required onsite within 30 days of start date.
Cost for required courses: Fire Card - $50; Assaultive Behavior - $80 (non-reimbursable).
Floating among various units may be required, with appropriate orientation provided.
