Be the firm’s front-of-house: greet clients, manage calls, schedule meetings, handle mail, and keep the lobby professional.

Job Description:

My Rights Law, a California based law firm focused on Criminal / DUI Defense and Injury Law, is seeking an individual with integrity, skills and confidence needed to thrive in a growing practice. This is a criminal defense position in a criminal defense focused firm. If you are not looking for a career in criminal defense law, we are probably not the right firm for you.

To succeed in this role, a successful candidate will need to have results orientation, enthusiasm for criminal law (and ideally some experience in criminal law), and strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position provides a unique opportunity for both training and experience with a criminal defense firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet regularly and communicate effectively with clients or taking messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate person
• Assisting attorneys and paralegals in making copies and inputting information in the law database
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, emailing, and faxing

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
