Licensed Massage TherapistAs a member of the Hacienda Spa team, this role is integral in representing the Los Poblanos brand and our unique well-being model. This position will enrich the guest experience by connecting guests to our historic property and organic farm through spa and wellness services. This position provides all types of massage and body treatments offered at Los Poblanos Spa. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage and bodywork modalities, possess a general understanding of anatomy, and be willing to train in the spa's specific massage offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be willing to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests. They must have a passion for and be able to provide an excellent customer experience.Duties & Responsibilities:Perform a range of massage and body treatment services in accordance with Los Poblanos Spa protocols and accepted certification practicesGreet and acknowledge guests by nameObtain and complete fully a client health history using Los Poblanos client intake formsUse client forms and skincare consultation with client to recommend appropriate treatmentsRecord detailed notes for all clients, including contraindications, allergies, medications, and treatment preferencesProvide guests with thorough and knowledgeable professional massage treatments, adhering to Los Poblanos protocolsEnsure guests receive a plan after each service for aftercare best practicesBe able to provide accurate and detailed descriptions of treatments, packages, services, treatment contraindications, property features, and hours of operationsUphold and practice the universal health care protocol/standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by the New Mexico State Board of Barber's and Cosmetologists and the spa's policies/procedures when dealing with guests and coworkersProvide services within the scope of practice of the profession as defined by the New Mexico State Board of Barber's and CosmetologistsBe on time for shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the servicePerform prep work, cleans, and restock room per spa standards, including all opening and closing dutiesAssist with maintaining the aesthetic standards of the treatment rooms and guest spacesEssential Job Functions:Perform a range of massage and body treatment services in accordance with Los Poblanos Spa protocols and accepted certification practicesAct as a positive role model and ambassador for Los Poblanos and the Hacienda SpaMaintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the property, products, and service available throughout the businessShare historical and cultural information about Los Poblanos with guests, when appropriateInteract professionally and with sensitivity to the needs of the guests and co-workersDemonstrate respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests' needs in a professional and pleasant mannerCollaboration and partnering – Identify opportunities and take action to build relationships between individuals, teams, and departments to help achieve business goalsUphold standards of sanitation, sterilization, and cleanliness as directed by law and the spa's policies and proceduresCommunicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention immediatelyRequirements:Applicable New Mexico state license to perform all massage servicesStay current on current licensing changes and abide by all rules and regulations associated with the licensePossess a cooperative and positive attitude, exercising reasonReceived training from an accredited schoolAt least 3 years of experience working in a high-end resort or urban day spa environmentBe available to work varying shifts such as nights, weekends, and holidaysThoroughly educated and understands the body's anatomy and the effects of the specific techniques utilized to determine whether such application is contraindicated to recommend the most beneficial services to each guestPossesses excellent communication skills and provides legible and articulate communicationDemonstrate commitment to provide the highest quality of esthetic services to those who seek their professional service
