Lead Laundry AttendantJob Category: Hotel OperationsPay Rate: $19.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on Saturday and SundayEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist supervisors with staff training, direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standardsReceive linen / towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventoriesMaintain a working process to ensure maximum productivityOrganize the laundry room, maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenanceEnsure hotel landings are stocked at the beginning of each work dayEnsure proper usage of laundry chemicalsAssist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel roomKnowledge and Certification, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge and Certification- Required:1-year laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotelKnowledge and Certification- Preferred:Previous lead experience in a similar positionSkills- Required:Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesStrong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and WindowsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbilities- Required:Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressureAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usageAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voiceEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
