Field Mechanic - Heavy Machinery

Columbia Western Machinery is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team! Our commitment to excellence has made us a trusted name in the industry. Job Responsibilities Position will diagnose and repair equipment and allied products at customer locations. Analyzing and diagnosing (troubleshooting) equipment malfunctions or failures. Repairing, replacing, and/or rebuilding engines, transmissions, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components, electrical systems, and air systems. Welding and fabrication as required. Determine the correct parts needed to complete the task, order them promptly from the Parts Department, and return all unused parts promptly. Maintaining driving records per state laws. Communicating courteously and effectively with customers regarding all aspects of the work. Qualifications 4+ years of mechanical experience working on all makes and models of heavy equipment to work in the field. Must have a Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record. Must have own tools. Must submit to background and motor vehicles record screenings. Must be assertive, a self-starter, and able to work without direct supervision. Detail-oriented & carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well. Dedicated to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.
