How you’ll make an impact in this role Lead the immediate assessment and stabilization of patients in high-acuity situations, ensuring rapid and life-saving interventions are prioritized. Coordinate with the full multidisciplinary trauma and emergency team to ensure a seamless, high-speed care journey for every patient entering the department. Execute physician and nursing orders with precision and urgency, translating clinical directives into immediate relief and stabilization for the patient. Monitor and document critical changes in patient status, providing the medical team with the real-time data necessary for fast, life-altering decision-making. Support patients and their families through the transition out of the ED—whether to admission or home—by providing clear, compassionate discharge education during stressful moments. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Trauma Nurse credentialed from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) preferred. Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Care credentialed from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) preferred. Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Nursing Pediatrics preferred. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire is required.
