ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST

There are many jobs within the military that are transferable to our position: Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Manage and ensure permit compliance with local and state regulations (Oregon DEQ Air & Water Quality) Monitor permits to ensure renewals and updates are conducted in a timely manner Conduct necessary collecting, sampling and monitoring of water and/or soil for analysis Prepare and submit annual air quality and stormwater reports using applicable regulatory reporting platforms Conduct annual environmental training for all team members Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed Other duties will be assigned as needed Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Earth Science, Environmental Science or related field Experience in an environmental, geology or related role (5 years minimum) with at least 3 years of field experience A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record This position will require travel to Southern Oregon Ability to read and understand maps and analyze data Familiarity with local, state and federal environmental regulations and standards Strong writing skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely are a must Knowledge of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or other mapping software helpful Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills are essential Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers Benefits Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts 401K with Company Match Profit Sharing 8 Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Safety Incentives Years of Service Recognition Military transition Air Force: Environmental Engineer Bioenvironmental Engineer Marines: Environmental Engineering Management Office Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
