What You'll Do

As an Industrial Sandblaster, you'll prepare large structural steel components for coating by operating industrial blasting equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate industrial sandblasting/abrasive blasting equipment
• Prepare structural steel surfaces to near-white metal and specified blast profiles
• Blast hydraulic steel structures, dam gates, and heavy fabricated components
• Inspect surfaces for proper cleanliness and coating readiness
• Perform equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work with fabrication and painting teams to meet production schedules

What We're Looking For

Required

• Previous industrial sandblasting or abrasive blasting experience
• Experience preparing steel for industrial coatings or paint
• Ability to operate blasting equipment safely
• Ability to read work instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in an industrial manufacturing environment

Preferred

• Structural steel fabrication experience
• Industrial painting or surface preparation experience
• Manufacturing or heavy industrial experience
• Forklift or overhead crane experience
• Vocational or technical training

Schedule

1st Shift

Monday-Friday

6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Overtime available.

Pay

$21-$25 per hour

Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
