Civil Engineering Project Engineer - Land Development

Responsibilities Prepare civil engineering designs, plans, reports, and technical documents. Support land development projects from planning and entitlement through construction. Assist with grading, drainage, utility, stormwater, and site development design. Coordinate with clients, agencies, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams. Prepare and review construction documents and project deliverables. Assist with project schedules, budgets, proposals, invoices, and change orders. Attend project meetings, agency meetings, and client meetings as needed. Respond to plan check comments and agency review comments. Support project managers and senior staff with technical design and coordination. Manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines and quality standards. Mentor and support junior staff or designers as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. 4+ years of civil engineering and land development experience preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with grading, drainage, utility, stormwater, and site development design. Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to coordinate with clients, agencies, consultants, and internal teams. Experience preparing construction documents and technical reports. Knowledge of Southern California agency standards and permitting processes is a plus. Experience with healthcare, higher education, civic, commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed‑use developments is a plus. Why Join Latitude 33?
