Our client is a well-established financial services organization with a nearly 100-year history and a strong reputation for building trusted relationships with individuals, businesses, and communities. As Social Media Manager, you will help bring the organization's brand to life across social channels—turning stories about commercial banking, personal banking, small business, wealth management, financial education, and community impact into compelling content that earns attention, starts conversations, and drives business results.

Performance Objectives:

• Own the organization's social media presence across priority platforms and increase qualified engagement and website traffic generated through social.
• Develop and manage an always-on content calendar that effectively communicates products, services, community impact, and financial education in a clear, engaging, and compliant voice.
• Partner with Marketing, Digital Engagement, Communications, Compliance, and business leaders to develop social campaigns that support customer acquisition, cross-selling, brand awareness, and overall business objectives.
• Establish channel KPIs, analyze performance, and provide regular reporting and recommendations to improve reach, engagement, response rates, and conversion.
• Monitor social conversations and brand reputation in real time, escalating issues involving compliance, customer service, or reputational risk and coordinating appropriate responses.
• Develop relationships with internal subject-matter experts, bankers, and executives to help them communicate authentically and effectively through social channels while remaining aligned with brand and regulatory guidelines.

Environment & Resources :

You will sit within the Marketing organization and collaborate closely with Digital Engagement, Corporate Communications, Compliance, and marketing leaders across consumer, commercial, small business, and wealth management.

You will have access to social media management, analytics, listening, and content tools, along with a defined content and media budget and established approval processes for regulated communications.

This is a full-time position reporting to Marketing leadership and based in the New York/New Jersey market, with collaboration across a large network of branches and commercial offices throughout the organization's footprint.

Essential Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing organic and paid social media for a multi-location or nationally recognized brand; financial services or another regulated industry preferred.
• Demonstrated success growing meaningful engagement and business outcomes—not simply increasing follower counts.
• Hands-on experience with major social platforms, social scheduling and listening tools, analytics, and performance reporting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory considerations, disclosures, advertising guidelines, and when to pause, escalate, or revise content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, compliance partners, marketers, and subject-matter experts.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to balance creativity with brand, regulatory, and reputational considerations.
• Comfortable working in a lean, hands-on environment where you are both the strategist and the executor.
