Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Extractor Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently extracting modules while maintaining a consistent flow of production. As a member of the RS team, this role supports a culture focused on employee well-being by following best practices in health and safety, while upholding the company's core values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.  WHAT YOU WILL DODemonstrate full knowledge of extractor operations, including use of the HMI operator panelMaintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the extractor pit areaSafely and accurately extract modules using the overhead craneExecute air procedures to manually remove mandrels from modulesMonitor walking beams to ensure proper movement and successful mandrel transferReport all equipment-related issues promptly to the Production SupervisorMaintain appropriate inventory levels of materials required to perform job dutiesSupport the training and cross-training of production team membersParticipating in continuous improvement initiativesComply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements by maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to all company policies, as well as Provincial and Federal regulationsPerform other duties as assignedWHAT YOU BRINGHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior machine operation experience preferredOverhead Crane certification required for crane extraction. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical requirements listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment. WORKING CONDITIONSIndustrial manufacturing environment.Exposure to hot and humid conditions.Physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.Regular interaction with heavy machinery, powered industrial equipment, and moving mechanical parts.Exposure to production materials and manufacturing chemicals while following all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.WHAT WE OFFERComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.Retirement savings plans with company contributions.Employer -paid life and short-term disability insurance.Optional additional coverage (life, long-term disability).Generous paid time off and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Opportunities for growth and development within a global, forward-thinking company. Why Join Us?At RS, you'll play a key role in strengthening the quality foundation that supports our continued growth.
