Certified Medical AssistantWe are searching for a Certified Medical Assistant -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assess and provide direct care to patients in the patient care area in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0 to 18 years) and adults as necessary.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists in the collection of patient/family data that may include biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental informationCollects and documents vital signs, BMI, height/weight, and reason for a visit with 100% accuracyUpdates documentation to include if the patient has received care at any other location since the last visit, current medications, allergies, and other information per practice protocolPrepares patient for examination and assists provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations, and testing as directedCompletes and documents treatments and interventions as directed by provider and within the scope of practiceDocuments and administers medication and immunizations as directed by the physicianSupports patients/families in self-management of their health through assisting with patient educationAbility to use a thermometer, scales, sphygmomanometer/stethoscope, butterfly needles, hearing/vision screening equipment, pulse oximetry, tympanometry, basic laboratory equipment, i.e., microscope, centrifuge, hematology analyzer, and specimen collectionFundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatmentAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.Skills & RequirementsH.S.
